Tennessee Titans fans in Johnson City were given an event to remember as wide receiver Kenny Britt, the Titans radio crew and mascot T-Rac came to Shoe Carnival to sign autographs.

Britt and the radio crew arrived and were applauded as they walked in on Tuesday.

T-Rac made his way through the line of people waiting to get Britt’s autograph. He posed for pictures and got people laughing. One particular incident happened where T-Rac unexpectedly autographed a fan’s neck with a Sharpie. A few moments later, the mascot posed with another fan, but this time the fan told T-Rac that he had to tell the mascot something.

“T-Rac, I love you,” the fan said.

The mascot immediately embraced the fan.

“It doesn’t cost anything.”

This is the 13th Titans Caravan in the organization’s history. Titans Caravan allows the fans to meet and get autographs from the Titans Radio crew and pre-selected Titans players.

“Titans Caravan is our way of thanking the fans for their support,” Titans radio announcer Mike Keith said.

People often ask how much attending the Caravan costs.

“It doesn’t cost anything,” Keith said.

“I am a Titans fan,” Shoe Carnival manager Diana Boshears said. “I enjoy it. I think its fun to watch the kids get excited.”

With this being the 13th year for Titans Caravan, naturally the Titans have stopped in Johnson City before.

“There are a lot of people here two years ago [who are] here today,” Boshears said.

After the autograph session, fans voiced their opinions about the caravan.

“I liked meeting Kenny Britt. I think he’s an up and coming player,” Andrew Jones of Kingsport said.

“I think it’s good that the Titans came up here in East Tennessee to do this because there are too many Colts fans in the area. Maybe this will help convert some of them. After all, we got our own professional football team here in Tennessee. I just don’t know why people would give their loyalties to some team up north when they got their own team here,” Jones said.

Britt, a first-round pick out of Rutgers University, played his first season with the Titans. Britt caught 42 passes for 701 yards and three touchdowns, including one touchdown reception that was made as time expired to give the Titans a 19-17 lead over the Arizona Cardinals. Experts now expect Britt to become the Titans' top receiver heading into the 2010 season.
