So I actually finally had to break down and quit my job, it just was not worth it.  All three of my managers were very disrespectful to me and it was becoming a burden in my life to have to go there every day so I solved the problem the best way possible.  And hey now I have time to practice my guitar and I'm actually hoping to invest in a mic soon and begin to record some music.  I feel good things come in surprising ways and so far this has been a wonderful decision in my life.

Not being so stressed out, I did make it to class this week.  We spent almost the whole class learning to strum, each chord has their own way to be strummed apparently in certain songs and forms of playing, used a lot in bluegrass from what I understand.  Where you hit one chord and than strum the remainder.  Its not too complicated but remembering which string to hit for which chord is going to be tricky.  So pretty much we just went through each song we've learned and practiced strumming.  We also learned the final two of the major chords we are required to learn for this course.  So from here on out it's just perfecting what we got.  But anyway the final two chords were, E and B7.  E is easy but B7 is pretty difficult.  So seems like F and B7 are going to be my trouble chords.  But now that I have all this free time, I can finally start building my fingers up and not to mention since I don't have to stay up til 1 am at work every night maybe I can start making it to class on time. :)

On my own time I have been trying to learn parts of Lucy in the Sky, I can not play all the chords for the whole song but I can play parts and it's really helping me to learn to actually play a song that means something to me.  Perhaps this guitar thing will take me somewhere after all.
