ABOUT THE AUTHOR

After the recent complaints on facebook and elsewhere about the lack of sunlight, I expected to see people lining up to get into the park today and enjoy the fresh air and green grass.  What I found, however, was an open field of grass with no one taking advantage of our break from snow!

Nothing was more relaxing than spending my day lying on a blanket at the park and reading a book, basking in the glow the sun reflected off my pale, white legs.  It's a refreshing change to be able to walk outside in shorts without a jacket and enjoy the warmth all around me.  I was just expecting to see more friendly faces enjoying the sunny day with me.  Maybe people just weren't expecting a nice spring day, or maybe they've forgotten how to enjoy it.

If we get more days like this in the next few days, I'll be happy to know my spring break will be well spent.  I just hope to see more of my peers picking up a book or a frisbee and meeting me in the park.
