The genre Classical has been around for hundreds of thousands of years. And with each historical style period, something new has been created because of it. Now, when I say historical style periods I mean that there are seven different styles of Classical music that have prevailed throughout history. These styles include the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, and 20th Century/Modern.
As part of my experiment, I listened to some of the more noted composers. These include Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Rutter, Vivaldi, Pachelbel, and Bach. From these I also listened to not only symphony orchestra pieces but also piano pieces, vocal portions, chamber music, opera compositions, and ballets. And I can honestly say that there is a huge difference between a student and a professional performance. The emotion that a profession gives during a piece is amazing to watch and wonderful to listen to. You can feel what the piece really means to a performer. And that is the best feeling to even watch because you know that someone is giving all they have for maybe even just one note.
All-in-all, I greatly enjoyed Classical music. All of those composers, now, are on my iPod and within a playlist or two so I can listen to them over and over again.
