What do you make of that?
This question can be vital when interviewing someone. It avoids the yes and no question and answers. It also does not pin the person into a view that they may or may not agree with. Asking “What do you make of that”allows the interviewee to express his or her own opinion and views on something without the pressure of feeling as if they need to form to the interviewer’s own opinion. Answering it lets them take the time to form their view and their take on the issue or situation and often means better information for the reporter.
